Going to Open Chaponost is always quite a drive to arrive, but we always receive a warm welcome from the other teams and parents. At the same time, I was not enthusiastic on seeing the green floor again at the gymnasium because it always turns my color correction and taking photos a challenge. I was definitely prepared this time and enjoyed my whole day at the competition. The highlight of the competition was to see one of our younger girls, Giulia, performing her solo with no drops, receiving her first place medal after several years of competing. As a parent, I have humble moments and wonderful joy for parents who dedicate their time for their child. Honestly, it isn’t easy seeing kids get hurt, parents upset, or just not having the day you wanted. We all want our kids to be winners, but reality also hurts. As a big grown up, we have to keep calm and move forward. If you and your team didn’t win, it means we have to encourage and work harder. It’s not the talent that counts most. Sometimes it’s the person who works harder that makes it count.

Again, congratulations to everyone and to TEAM BLV as they received the highest awards for the Team Challenge, hence Team Chaponost was awarded at the end of the day.
