Personal Branding Photoshoot for Laurence Delatour
Laurence Delatour and I have had a loyal relationship that has extended for over 10 years. My first project was redesigning her business website Delatour Traductions. Laurence is not only a great translator, but a talented sculptor. At a very young age, she competed in horseback riding internationally, and she has had a lot of influence with American Western culture. When she studied abroad in Denver, United States, she was hooked. She participates in Western shows – in USA and France.
Overview: Approach & Contributions
Laurence contacted me to create and design a booklet, which would showcase her sculptures. She was receiving many requests on how to contact her and for more information about her work. A tangible pamphlet that’s bilingual (English and French) to give to prospect buyers as well as for art lovers.
Many artists are sometimes pulled in so many directions because they don’t really know what they want. The key is to take notes (a lot of them) to know what they want, how many bodies of work he or she is promoting and guide them in the direction.
The project took a month to photograph, retouch, and to design a 12-page booklet. Before having the layout sent to printing services, I provided consultation with the type of iridescent paper to be used. Quality of printers and papers is as important to bring out the images. I am proud how the final product came out!
